Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts (about 4 cups)

1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Serves: 4

Instructions

Wash your hands with soap and water, then gather all your kitchen gear and ingredients and put them on a clean counter.

Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Trim off the outer, dry leaves, cut the bottom off and slice lengthwise.

In a medium mixing bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Spread evenly onto a baking sheet with cut side down.

Roast them for about 20 minutes; sprouts will appear browned and crisp on the outside and will be tender on the inside.

To make these sprouts extra yummy: after roasting, put them back into a bowl and toss them with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1-2 teaspoons honey and 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar.
